Confused about recent Lenovo laptop purchase...

Hi Everyone,
I recently purchased a t430 with i5 3230m cpu, nvs5400 gpu, 320gb hdd, 4gb ram and a 6cell battery for $500.
At the time I thought it's a good buy, but now after seeing all the sales starting ($507 e330) and eofy around the corner plus the haswell line getting introduced, I am not sure if it was a good deal after all.
Should I try to return it? Or should I keep it?
Thanks,

Keep it, there is always going to be something better around the corner. Of course there are other eofy sales, though they may not be as good as this one.

    • Okay thanks, I'm only concerned because I plan to keep the laptop for at least 3-4 years. So I want something that lasts, that's why settled with the lenovo thin pad line. And the only reason I rushed for this purchase was the fact that the new series suck big time…

    err lol

T series beats pretty much everything out there

i suspect it has a 1366 x 768 screen though which makes it a non starter for me

quadros for $500 is rare indeed

    • Yep 1366x768 indeed, but coming from an older ultra book asus ul80jt (the first series of them, bulky and heavy compared to now lol) with the same resolution it doesn't feel bad, however the matte screen is a plus!!! Might swap the screen for a HD+ or full HD later on… (They are around 70$ shipped from us)

Yeah it's a great buy. Where did you get it from? With T-series it's very easy to upgrade the RAM and hard drive. The first thing you should do is to replace that 320GB HDD with a SSD :)

    • I got it from a local store which had. It as their last it so they wanted to clear it out, then I used the power buy cash back and got some of the money hack that's how it ended up 500$.
I am planning to upgrade the ssd and ram, but I want to have only a cache ssd as it is way cheaper that way. Plus still considering whether I should go 4+8gb (more ram) or 2×4gb (dual channel more speed)…
Will settle these stuff after my exams :-D
