What sort of sites do you mean?
Direct importers like Kogan, or overseas sellers.
If you could give some examples it may help.shopped at quite a few, DX, focalprice and the like, done ebay from HK/china, and done aliexpress.
never had a bad experience. items always arrive in good time.
Pay by paypal (where possible) for added assurance, and always go with reputable sites with good feedback and/or high turnover.try buying a couple of $2 items to go thru the motions and reassure yourself.
I have used aliexpress for single/sample items with good success.
I looked into getting some wholesale quantities via Alibaba, but found that freight was prohibitive for less than a full pallet, and the logistics was pretty involved.
That was for a one-off little side project. If I was doing it as regular business I would probably look to get in touch with an agent to handle things on the China end. My understanding is they will source and freight to your specification (obviously taking a cut) and they have the experience to make it happen more easily.And if you mean online retailers, I have had good success with DX, banggood, meritline, buyincoins and a couple of others. Note that many ebay sellers fulfill/dropship from these suppliers too.

Do you really mean the word wholesaler? It means you intend to buy large quantities to resell retail. Despite the size of those operations on the Internet they are retailers as they sell to end users.
