Decent Spec Laptops under $800

I am looking for couple of decent spec laptops, preferably at least 4gb of ram, 1 gb discrete graphics, optical drive, and under $800 each. I would really appreciate if anyone could help me. Thanks.

    • Thanks QW3RTY. But I need new laptops, not reconditioned.

  • Note that '1 gb discrete graphics' is a very large category, some of with are not as good as systems without discrete graphics. You should not have trouble finding what you want in an i3/7670m combination though.

  • You can buy an i5 with 4GB RAM, 1TB HDD, 15.6" monitor (1366 x 768), AMD 7670M 1GB GPU for around $600. See Dell Inspiron 15 $599 model as an example…

For $799 you can get a higher spec i7 with 8GB RAM, AMD 8730M 2GB GPU …see Inspiron 15R in same link above.

  • JB is doing 15% off this week.

This Toshiba come with A6 processor.

    • A6 is entry level and is beaten by Ivy Bridge Core i3 series.

      • Probably would prefer Intel!!

  • I did actually grab one laptop from DSE yesterday ($249.5). Another two to get!! But I will probably prefer one laptop with FHD (anti-glare) and ssd (with the extra money I have already saved) :-)

  • I do not think you can get something better then this at under 800$

    • It's an absolute PoS. Sorry mate! Using this at work. Cannot recommend.

      • My first laptop was a Dell Latitude, and that was the best laptop I have ever used!! Its a shame that Dell couldn't keep up its reputation.

    • Spec looks great, but after omgwtfbbq's comment, I am not too sure now!!

      • Just a follow-up to clarify:

        1. Extremely poor build quality.
        2. Issues with switchable graphics and USB3
        3. HDD has had faults 2x in the past year. I've spent the better part of this weekend decrypting the volume so that I can recover what I can from it.
