Cheap Bubble Wrap/Packaging material

I need to send a tablet from Melbourne to Sydney for repairs, so have been told to ship it back with plenty of packaging. Where does one buy those bubblewrap pieces from?

I’ve never shipped a package before, so have no idea where to get the bubble wrap from. Can I buy from Aus Post, or is it better/cheaper to buy from somewhere like Officeworks?

  • Most post offices have a good selection of bubble wrap for sending individual items and are fairly well priced. If you needed a lot more you can buy rolls from officeworks which I found to be cheaper then buying online.

    • Awesome thanks for that- I'll check out Aus post at lunch time, don't need a big quantity as it's just one tablet.

      Thanks for the quick reply!

      • Thickly bubblewrapped inside a Aust Post box should be enough protection.

The cheapest bulk bubble wrap options are on eBay, it's relatively quite expensive at Australia Post. But for one item it's fine.

  • Auspost is pretty expensive. If you're in an office, check out the mail centre. Plenty of people will keep old bubble wrapped packages from previous mailings etc etc. Worst case - shredded paper.

  • +1

Officeworks have the cheapest bubble wrap, that's wheere I get mine.

  • Wow so many responses. Some good ideas. Will try thr mail centre, if no luck then will try Officeworks. I only need it for one time, so don't think I need in bulk.
