You can get batt and ram both for under a hundred on eBay, SSD not needed on a budget laptop, 750G is fine, if you need more storage there's plenty of externals around.

Asked my wife and she did not approve this model…
Said that as I'm spending lots of time on my laptop, I should get a better one with full-HD screen and a faster CPU and she doesn't mind if it costs more than $500 :)
Look's good to me mate, even at $599. I can't comment on cashback eligibility.
Downsides are low screen res, low battery life, 8GB ram would be nicer, and no SSD or cache drive, which I consider a must have for a laptop.
Pluses include good processor, ok graphics card, usb 3 and backlit keyboard, and very decent price.
