Has anyone tried to claim both the insurance and price protection?

I cracked my phone recently still under the insurance, so was going to claim the repairs on it (screen replacement)

Was wondering if I could then claim the price protection later on?

Also has anyone had experience making a claim? Was wondering if they pay the repairer directly or whether they will credit my card?

I have only claimed price protection but I doubt it because if they returned all your money for insurance then they would be doubling up under price protection.

I doubt they will replace the whole thing, (unless i lost it) but its only a cracked screen. But yeah thats a good thought!
