What to buy in Japan?

ok outernational bargain hunters! Going to be in Tokyo for a few days soon. What should I buy and from where? I have a mate who can receive mail order stuff for me before I arrive.

My thoughts:
- robot vacuum?
- DAC / headphone amp
- General weirdness.

Appreciate heads up on any known bargains.

Cheers,
MrDixit.

Bought the wife an iPad Mini in some enormous multi story electrical shop on the way back from Skiing in Feb. I cant remember the price but I remember it was cheaper than the best OZ price I had found before I left. My 1st time in Japan and the shop was an experience in itself. I am a bit of a watch tragic and there were some good deals on mid level swiss watches and loads of unique or Japan only watch models like Prospex auto divers etc

Food was cheap, bottled booze cheap but getting a glass of scotch out in a bar in Tokyo wasnt!

Ski lift tickets at Niseko, if you compare them against OZ lift tickets on a 'value for money' basis are an absolute bargain!!

  • Hot coffee in cans from vending machines. Sooo good. Turkey Drumsticks at Disneyland in December (Christmas). Red bean curd cakes. Any cakes. My kids loved them and glued the labels into their scrapbooks as a great memory. Sake sets. Paper kites can be framed and hung. Classic geisha pics for decor for girls room.

  • JVC HA-S500

I'm not a headphone expert but i got these from my last trip to Japan in December as advised by another OzB thread. Got them for around 30 dollars and they sound great
