Duracell Xbox 360 Play & Charge Kit $12.95 Free Shipping

70

These are genuine Duracell Xbox 360 Play & Charge kits. With the new Xbox One around the corner we're clearing out our excess stock. Normally $24.95 + delivery, you can now get them for $12.95ea, delivered anywhere in Australia!

  • With this Play & Charge kit you no longer have to deal with the time and cost of replacing the batteries in your Xbox 360 controller.
  • Play longer with a 30 hour play time (1800 mAh Rechargeable Battery)
  • Includes a 3m long charging cable so you can charge while you play
  • Plug the charge cable in before turning your Xbox 360 off to charge while the system is in standby
  • Comes pre-charged so it's ready to go out of the box
  • Status indicator light lets you know when the battery is fully charged

You might find 'no name' brands on eBay from overseas for less, but personally I would stick with a brand known for battery reliability. You'll certainly get more recharge cycles out of a Duracell battery.

As always these are available on our website or in store - we dispatch stock daily Mon-Fri from our shop in Penshurst NSW, so you'll receive your order fast.

Do you have any black colour in stock?

    • No black sorry, white has been a slow mover hence the clearance

These batteries are rubbish, mine wont charge on a microsoft battery charger or microsoft plug and play. Only way to charge is with the Duracell plug and play charger

    • thanks. saved me wasting money :)

    • Tell you what… I can't confirm that now, but I have an open one of these at work… I'll test it out with a Microsoft charger and let you know how I go

As promised, I tested this out this morning and can confirm that the Duracell charge cable and Duracell battery are cross compatible with their Genuine Microsoft counterparts, meaning:
      - You can charge this Duracell battery with the Microsoft play & charge cable
      - You can charge your Microsoft rechargeable battery with this Duracell play & charge cable

Full disclosure however: We don't have any genuine Microsoft 'quick charge kits' to test this with so I was unable to confirm compatibility with those (they were never really that popular so we haven't had any for a few years now)

  • I just bought one for $20. Seems to do the job. I had a microsoft one before, was good at the begining, but stopped recharging after a while.

Inside the actual box is just 2 rechargable AAs anyhow.

    • True that rechargeable batteries have a limited life span, in my experience our customers say they usually get about 2 years out of the Microsoft batteries - I would expect the same from these - also unless you're talking about the battery cells inside the casing, there isn't any AA batteries with this product, it's a replica of the genuine play and charge pack

  • Hey rep. Are you going to have any Mad Catz MOUS 9 on special any time soon?

    • Not that I know of, being a new product it's hard to get deals on… Ill keep ozBargain in mind if that happens though ;)

  • Just my 2 cents… I understand that this is a good price for this item… what I don't understand is the actual utility of this device. I just use rechargeables in my controller. They seem to work just peachy. And since I didn't grab batteries from my 'good stuff' stash, I'm reasonably certain that they're old tech NiMH that are at least 6 years old and not my new LSD batteries.

Even if I use brand new LSD cells, it'll still be cheaper than a molded plastic play and charge kit.

Can anyone share any insight on this?

if you have LSD, you don't need an xbox.

    • Well I guess not having to take the batteries out to charge is a bonus. In fact, you never need to disconnect it at all, just plug the lead in and it recharges? So it's a +1 for lazy :)

      • Even better, just buy the wired controller. It costs about double a decent play and charge kit but you get a controller with a long cord and never need to think about batteries. Best of all it works flawlessly as a game pad in Windows. So many advantages :)

        • Well, thanks for sharing. :) And @everyone, if you put it that way, then yeah, I'd have no need for any stinking video games. lol

        • I prefer not to have cords laying about my loungeroom :)

  • Interesting. Especially since the last 4 official MS batteries I bought were DOA. I have a draw full of the stupid dead things.

    • Why not return them if DOA?

      • Tried. Was told to go through MS.

30 minutes on the phone to someone with the worst VoIP connection in the world and I didn't even get the email (after confirming my address 3 times) with instructions.

Called back and they wanted to go through everything again. 15 minutes in I gave up.

        • Bugger, the shop you bought from is legally obliged to deal with it :(

        • Nafe is right, if it's DOA you're entitled to a refund or exchange if you wish - through the retailer that sold it to you, consumer has the choice in that situation - on a side note, have you checked it's not the controller? I've had customers who's controller pins were bent, a different controller solved the issue. It's very rare to have 4 DOA in a row, it would have to be a batch issue.

    • I had one which was DOA too, called Microsoft over 6 months later when I finally got around to it and it was out of warranty. Just used eneloops and wired controllers after that.

Not DOA, the plates just need cleaning, but i do admit they are all rubbish.
Duracell aren't the best either but they'll do the job.
