I went out on an ozbargain shopping adventure last night for a S4 4G for my partner.

My criteria:

  • Aussie stock (for 2 years local warranty)
  • Less than $750

Big W had it for around $798, JB Hi Fi $808 and HN around $790 as well.

Looked online (DWI, Kogan, Unique Mobiles) to see what kind of prices they had so I could potentially get one of the brick and mortar stores to price match it. Walked into DSE, and they wouldn't match Unique Mobiles even though they have a storefront in Paramatta I think. They would only price match a store in Brisbane so I just walked out and tried JB Hi Fi.

I found DWI's price to be the lowest out of the online stores so I casually went up to one of the JB Hi Fi guys (they were hard to find!) and asked if he could match DWI's price of $638 and he said no worries!

So just letting you all know that you can potentially match grey import prices at JB Hi Fi. But if you don't, then $638 at DWI seems to be the lowest at the moment.

    I am surprised that JB HiFi agreed to price match DWI, i guess you got lucky. Its worth a shot for any one looking for aussie stock

    This isnt a bargain, its more of a kiss and tell unless you can tell us which JB and which idiot you talked too :)
