We bought a bunch of knock-off track. Search Aliexpress for "enlighten track".
About $11 shipped for either the points set or the straights and curves. The Enlighten track is almost the same plastic as lego, and fits perfectly. Only visible difference is it is brown, Lego is grey.Have you got a link to the seller you got this from? There are so many on Aliexpress it's hard to know who is reliable.

Give a set to an inquisitive child and watch their eyes light up. LEGO is the only toy I returned to year after year to build something new. Heck, there are many adults who still enjoy building something with it.
+1 as I feel slightly less of a loser @ 35 years old I have just brought out my original 1980's lego collection for my 2 year old son, mainly because I want to play with it again.
Same could be said of a lot of things. This set is basically half the local price, and about 25% cheaper than eBay. I'm in.
And lego tends to hold its resale value better than any other mass market toy.

just brought it for my boy, his gonna love it cheers, this is a pretty good price for lego trains, normally about triple that which is why i have not brought them in the past.
i brought the train 2 sets of track and a train station which came to 135.83 pounds with delivery, AMazon offered to do it in AUD for A$234 I declined that and through my Citibank CC is A$224.39
Amazon currency conversion thing is a bit of a rip off i think so its best to buy in pounds.

If you're 5, you can get the track, but if you want the train too, you need to wait another year.
