'End of Financial Year Sale' on flights?

Hi there,
A friend and I are looking to go to Europe around mid September to the beginning of November. We would ideally love to get the cheapest fare we can (currently around 1300 in and out on Frankfurt from Melbourne with Air Tawain or something). So I was wondering, do prices for International flights drop much for a EOFY sale? Or should we just book now?
