  • Anyone able to confirm the 800ML Sport Top is aluminium? It looks plastic to me.

Aren't the best bottles made of stainless steel? From what I know aluminium is not good for keeping things in it as it can "leak", the bottle has to be coated to prevent this. I read some bad things about the coating part (not for the current bottles but for some older ones) so I decided to buy stainless steel bottles. Just asking, i know these are BPA free and that used to be the problem.

Yes Stainless Steel only for this camper also ;)

Aluminium starts to taste funny after a while!

    • what "leaks" - the aluminium itself or the cap?

yes, aluminium bottles have to be coated to stop it reacting to certain types of liquids and i've noticed that the coating disintegrates over time.

i prefer stainless steel as it's not that much heavier and i don't get crusty build-up on the insides (yes, i do wash my bottles a few times a week…perhaps that's just the water in my area).

  • Write up is good although lid still appears of a plastic.

Also. Is Target drop shipping, as I find under point 3 of Click + Collect – FREE

        3. Most orders will be delivered to stores between 4 to 10 business days for

These are what i have been using for the past few years and have no problems, very pleased with them.

It does seem a little expensive, but i committed to replacing all other water bottles with a couple of these and using them all day everyday without any complaints - for me, easily worth the money.

BATTLE OF THE REUSABLE BOTTLES: PLASTIC VS. ALUMINUM VS. STAINLESS STEEL

    http://www.banthebottle.net/articles/battle-of-the-reusable-bottles-plastic-vs-aluminum-vs-stainless-steel/
    Reusable .~Aluminum~. Bottles

    Pros:
    Light-weight
    Trendy
    Cons:
    Sketchy construction techniques
    (Possible BPA liner)
    Easily dents
    (Difficult to clean)

The Wenger website however goes on to say "eading coating manufacturers). The first manufacturer to use such a high quality interior finish produced in China." And "The raw materials used in the formulation of the liner does not intentionally contain BPA.

However, because BPA is found in many places, we cannot entirely exclude the possibility of trace amounts of BPA being found in the final product and introduced during producing, packaging, shipping etc." 'Not freezer safe.'

The one I got was ' 2x Stainless Steel Sports Camping Bottle w/ Carabiner ' (with a bisphenol A constructed top hmm unfortunately) which run 17 dollars, but was lucky enough to get the single bottle via ozstock, 6.98 sold out still with a cap of 750ml.

  • Did anyone else get their orders cancelled by Target? Mine was cancelled, with no mention of why…

    • I also got my order cancelled with no reason. The email was worded as if I initiated the refund ("Your order xxx has successfully been cancelled").

Ahh I emailed them, and they responded that:

"Unfortunately on this occasion, a system error occurred where you were able to order an item that had in fact sold out. This can happen where the demand is high and customers are ordering the same item at the same time."

        • same. cancelled.
