THREE ending end of Aug, what to do?

Just saw the message about three is ending end of Aug and Vodafone is trying to lure you to switch.

What would be a better option? Or what can I get from Vodfaone at most?

Cheers,

  • Have a squiz @ the crazy johns threads here & whirlpool for ideas.
What are you looking for (features & cost)?

  • I dont know. I was on hot for 3. I rarely make calls and use it for data mostly. So probably the cheapest for data, I guess.

  • Ok there's plenty of choice then.
Do you want to stick with the Voda network??
Do you want to be post paid or will pre-paid be ok?
Lastly how much is your existing plan?

  • Well, I am only paying $4 a month for 700mb data if I make no calls.

I probably will look for long expiry and data wise. Think woolie is not a bad choice.

    • That's pretty cheap.

      Dodo have a $0/mth plan, cheap calls (11c/min) & txt (11c) & $5 for 1Gb (every 30 days) or 5c/Mb

      That's on Optus & is pre-paid.

      • I was looking at that as well. But not sure whether the $5 is added on to the recharge or not. If the $5 is coming out from the recharge value, that would be good for me.

        Thanks.

        • i believe it comes from the recharge value (i.e out of your pre-paid credit).
You probably need to have more then 0c in the account, e.g. $5.01 to buy it

        • Will check.

        • +1

Just to sweeten the deal, Aus post has 2x$20 dodo recharges for $30 until 7 July.

        • Thanks that was helpful

        • Ok so how many times can you use this offer the condition says limit of one? Anyone successfully do this multiple times?

      • Sounded good, but the reviews are off-putting

        • Well the network is Optus, so many of the complaints are relevant. As for customer service, they probably are poor, but how many telco can you say have good customer service? My worst experience are with Telstra and Virgin. TPG & Optus were ok, Crazy John, they were good.

Porting numbers, that usually works well, but when it buggers up, it doesn't matter which carrier you're with, it's always a disaster.

Read the reviews by all accounts, but remember people mostly post reviews when they've had issues, not when they've had good experiences. So it good to read them, but it's also good to remember they're not exactly balanced.
