Scoopon - La Grillade - Please read this before buying *RESOLVED*

Please do not buy from Scoopon - I bought a voucher to book on La Grillade in Crow Nest and emailed them that I like a Saturday booking. Despite the offer is still open, there are no more Saturday booking and Scoopon as usual did not mention this in their website.

I called the restaurant and they have availability, but as soon as I mention Scoopon they said they have no table and hung up rudely.

Can someone advise me if I can seek to put a claim from Paypal ? I believe Scoopon had mislead in their website.

Update : Note that this has been resolved and Scoopon has provided me with full refund.

    you should complain to scoopon that you cannot redeem the voucher and you want a refund

  • The Scoopon rep has just started posting on here again so maybe he'll help you out. I would recommend trying to sort it out with Scoopon before going to Paypal.

    Scoopon link appears to be still on sale for another 5 days.

    Subject to availability. Book early to secure your desired date and time. Saturdays strictly limited.

    Not sure if that really covers it but if they have no Saturdays left, it should be advised. But is not being available for 1 out of 7 days grounds for a refund? I wouldn't think so.

    Well, there is availability but not if you have scoopon. And I am trying to book 3 months in advance so surely that meets the book early part. The fact that I just bought the coupon and cant even get a date makes me wonder if the Saturday is only set for 2 coupons.

    Well you were correct I tried to book Sat too and say no booking left.
    I was able to book Friday though so I was ok with it, prehaps scoopon should just refund you as you are not happy with your purchase anymore.

    • Unfortunately for me I stay down south and weekend is only possible for me. The staff at the restuarant however is quite rude so not sure if I would enjoy eating there anyway. The restaurant actually have place to eat but will rudely tell you there are no availability if you use scoopon and hang up.

        If you check your email inbox, you'll see that one of my colleagues has sent you an email regarding your Scoopon purchase for La Grillade.

        The deal in question was meant to run for another 5-days. However, as soon as we were informed that La Grillade was fully-booked on Saturday nights we removed the deal (22nd June 2013). Please note, however, that Saturdays were still available when you purchased the deal on the 16th June 2013.

        As a result, we've issued you with a full refund on this occasion.

  • Awhile back, Scoopon said that the deal was that if there were spots available, they must be offered to Scoopon customers. Obviously, if a deal states Wednesday only, you can not demand Saturday.

      If the deal states under the 'Fine Print' tab on the deal page that bookings can be made on a Wednesday only, then this is the only day the deal can be redeemed.

      Awhile back, Scoopon said that the deal was that if there were spots available, they must be offered to Scoopon customers

      If a deal is not restricted to a single day for redemption, then a Scoopon voucher can be redeemed subject to availability. Please always refer to the 'Fine Print' tab on the deal page for booking restrictions and availability terms.
