Samsung's Dual OS

Samsung has just released a new tablet/convertible with windows 8 that comes with a "DUAL OS" software. It allows what seem like a seamless transition to android 4.2.

I was wondering if anyone knows how i could get a hold of this software to put on my own windows 8 tablet.

PS. I am aware that there is a program atm called BlueStacks that does this task, but it isnt as fluid as the dual OS software i saw on the Samsungs quick review.

youll find it here:

Also please refrain from any brand war arguments blah blah blah

Thanks all

  • not sure , heard the Asus Transformer Book Trio can do the same. I think with the Asus, its an Android tablet which doubles as a screen for the Windows 8 system in the keyboard side.

    Here is what I found:

Even if you can dual boot, I think there would still be a lot of issues in terms of getting the hardware to work properly under Android. The OS would require some customisation at the kernel level in order to be compatible with your common x86 hardware.

    • yeah, now that I think about what OP said, its a lot harder than just ''Ănstalling software''. Would require a lot of tinkering, and you can possibly brick your computer if you dont know what you're doing.

    • funny I was just reading a news article on this. The tablet runs Windows 8 as the native OS and Android under a VM

Rather nice comparison between the new Ativ Q and the Surface
