I'm a fan of this buy personally $60 delivered http://www.winemarket.com.au/MYSTERY-MARGARET-RIVER-RED-2007… … some googling of the review leads me to http://www.cellarmasters.com.au/wines/Mchenry-Hohnen-Tiger-R… which is $113.94 + delivery

      good investigation!

Good pick!! This is hands-down the best staff favourite at the mo. It's been banned from Friday lunches after a few too many over-enthusiastic encounters..

      • Awesome, can't wait - Shiraz from Margaret River is currently my favourite style, here's to hoping some Shiraz is included!

    • +1

I got some Bird in Hand Merlot from a past mystery deal and was very pleased.

    • Well spotted - jumped on this as well

    • Went ahead and bought this. Was going to get one of the Merlots, but for $60 this didn't seem too bad.
Any comments on what this type of wine is like?

    • +1

That Mystery Red though is only for 6 bottles - but still $10 per bottle for a decent Red is still good value

    • great find! ordering them now

    • Thanks, got one as well! =)

    • thanks, ordered too

    • also got this! ;D

  • +2

Winemarket is already well priced, so a $30 coupon is well worth it

    • I bought a half dozen of the Koonunga hill. Even cheaper than this I wouldn't buy it again.

      • Which variety did you buy? I quite like the Shiraz for an everyday quaffer. Haven't tried the others though…

        • +1

          I got the Cabernet Sauvignon.

        • Thanks. I'll avoid that one and I suggest trying the Shiraz. Maybe buy a single bottle first (i.e. before buying 6) to make sure you like it. I find it's hard to beat when these deals come up. :)

    • they're out of the shiraz though!

    • no shiraz cab :(

Are you going to strictly enforce the 'one voucher' per person clause or can we try placing two separate orders? I just grabbed the Jacobs creek reserve 2010 for $109.88 delivered, so i'm not choosing the really cheap stuff, would like to get another case of something else good if I can use the voucher again..

  • i must be blind, where do you enter the coupon code?

    • At the very end

      • Yep, at the very end. If you're paying with credit card, it will either appear on the Shipping page or on the final page before you submit your order. If you're paying with PayPal Express (yellow button), you'll enter the voucher code into the voucher code box after returning from PayPal and just before submitting your order.

p.s. don't put it in the gift certificate box.

  • +2

    Pity it excludes cider :(

  • Bargain! Just got a case of Sauv Blanc with delivery for $2.50 a bottle!

    • +1

      which one is that

      • also keen to know

        • Was the Barefoot Sauv Blanc. I think now out of stock sadly :(

        • "this item is no longer available"

  • Hmm I've purchased a few times from Cellarmaster and I'm not too happy with their selections. I shall give this mob a try! Thanks OP!

  • Ok, I like drinking cheap wine. Don't have a 3 day growth, just no money.
Who can find me the cheapest deal? Normally I would, but I've got a meeting & they'd be grumpy if I tapped my way thru it on my phone.

  • WineMarket doesn't seem to sell Bosca Verdi Spumante or Lindemans Early Harvest?

  • +1

Damn you OZB again!! The Margaret River one was too tempting to pass up.

Although last time I ordered from these guys, I received an email afterwards saying they don't have stock etc etc. So I had to cancel my order. Not a huge drama but they managed to add me to their calling list and kept getting annoying phone calls afterwards (during business hours) trying to sell me whatever. I ended up just blocking all the numbers with their prefix.

Hopefully I wouldn't have similar issues this time around.

    • +2

We'll only call you with phone exclusives if you tick 'yes' to hear from us for phone specials. If you did tick the box and prefer not to receive phone specials, you can change your preferences either using My Account or give us a bell. No need to block us!

You'll see the three boxes (for email, phone and mail deals) both when you sign up and on the final page of checkout.

      • The thing is that I didn't create an account so when I went back to update my preferences, I kept getting a message saying account/email does not exist etc. I also don't recall ticking the box in the 1st place as I'm usually very conscious of not getting spammed (I may be wrong).

        Not a big problem anyway

        • No biggie, easily fix! Send us a message on FB or send us an email with your email address and we'll make sure you don't receive any future phone special calls. :)

        • Just on this. Can you get someone to check the 'Submit' button at the bottom of the update your details page? Doesnt seem to work(on my PC anyway that uses Chrome) Thanks

        • All fixed. It was a postcode issue. I had to retype the postcode for the State to come up as it was blank

      • I am pretty sure I wouldn't have ticked such a box too, perhaps it is a newer option but your call list includes older customers?

  • Hello Rep

unable to place order can you help ?
    https://checkout.winemarket.com.au/s.nl?sc=4&whence=
this pages just does not load after a very long time of waiting

    • Oh dear.. is this on your final page of checkout? Are you using PayPal or credit card? I'd suggest that you try your cart process again - go right back to the first page of cart.
You won't be charged/an order won't have been placed from the current checkout process(although there might be an authorisation which lasts for a few days), unless you have received an order confirmation email.
If you still have issues on the second attempt, maybe give us a call and we can place the order over the phone or talk you through the process. 1300 289 946 is the number to call and we're here 9am-5pm Sydney time today.

  • Good deal

I know nothing about wine, but at $49 ($79-30) for 12 this mixed case seemed ok. I mean, $4 per bottle, I'm sure its odd and ends and overstocks, but its still cheaper than cask wine…

    http://www.winemarket.com.au/Home_4/REDS/12-BOTTLE-MIXED-CAS…

    • Sorry this is not even close to the price range of goon (~$5.40/L compared with $2.50/L - $3.00/L) but perhaps slightly classier? Those $2 cleanskins that BWS had a while back were in the ball park.

    • off topic

      • -4

How is it off topic?I am sure people interested in this deal may like to know that cold calling may be occurring with this company.

        • +1

          It's libel.

    • +5

      It has always existed.

Life tip: for any marketing call from any company, regardless of how enthusiastically you asked to receive calls in the past, if you don't want to receive calls anymore tell them over the phone to opt you out of all future marketing phone calls. If they don't comply, tell ACMA. Them's the rules.

      • Cheers rep, well taking your word that it has always existed I am pretty sure I didn't enthusiastically tick this box. :D

Telemarketing has always struck me as a semi-desperate ploy to leech money off of morons (and old people). Wasn't Winemarket originally an online-only business?

    • No one is making you select the opt-in box - it's optional isn't it?

  • +3

Go via http://www.starthere.com.au/WineMarket-Voucher-Code for further discounts: WHITE 4.50%, GOLD 4.95%, DIAMOND 5.63%, BLACK 6.75%, FOUNDER 8.10%

    • Thanks. good old Founder Status. =D

    • Thanks for that. I have signed up to Starthere and pressed on the link, but it takes me straight to the webpage. I would have thought it would have a different url to show you came from starthere? How does it know I came from starthere?

      • It uses cookies to track your path. I've used it a few times and it works fine. I think you have to have cookies enabled and turn off your pop-up blocker or make starthere an allowed site

I've never been bothered by Winemarket despite ordering quite a bit from them. I ordered one mixed dozen from Cellarmasters and they called me both during work hours and after hours, really gung-ho. I was polite at first but I finally got one girl on the phone who was really aggressive and rude when I told her I didn't think the deal she was offering was a very good one and I wouldn't be buying it. After her attitude changed when I wasn't going to buy, I was so annoyed that I told her I didn't want to be called any more. Sure enough, I've never been called again.

  • Thanks
So far I ordered over 120 Bottles for friends in the last year from Winemarket using vouchers

  • Nice one, thanks OP, just bought 12 bottles of ANGOVES NINE VINES ROSE 2012 for the missus for $77 delivered.

  • thanks op and rep.

  • Is this 1 use per account??

    • From terms and conditions: "$30 off applies to order total and voucher can only be used once per customer (voucher cannot be used multiple times)"

  • Rep

are there any reduced alcohol wines that you sell, I am trawling the site and can't find any. So I thought it might be worth asking.

    • +1

a lot of moscato's are reduced alcohol

    • What sort of % would you prefer? We tend to sell wines which are lower in alcohol rather than reduced or alcohol-free wines. Moscato, riesling and some sem sauv blanc blends will all be lower in alcohol. Moscato is around 8%. Let me know what percentage you're after and I'll send you some links.

Just ordered a case of the Tussock Jumper Cleanskins 2009 (12) - $57 delivered!

    http://www.winemarket.com.au/Home_4/REDS/CLEANSKIN-BAROSSA-S….

    Really looking forward to them!

    Thank OP great deal!

  • Rep - Trying to buy a mixed dozen (white and red) and get this when applying save30 code ?? This voucher has expired, is invalid or is for new members only.
Please correct or remove the voucher code and click Apply

    • Which mix is it? Have you used the voucher already - you can only use it once?

  • arr ok used it this morning for another order. No worries.

  • Why use an account anyway? Just checkout as guest… easy

  • Grabbed a mix case with a work mate; seems like a good deal, thanks!

  • Just grabbed a case of the St Hallett Gamekeeper's Shiraz for $89 ($7.42/bottle), as it's my current regular buy (very tasty) at 1st Choice at ~$12 a bottle. Great find, OP.

  • Have to wait until I'm home to place my order. I can browse Winemarket fine but when it comes to placing the order, stupid work internet then starts blocking it.

  • +1

Thank you! Bought some Chandon NV for around $16.32 a bottle, delivered. Happy happy joy joy!

  • @wine_market

You really need to move your Voucher Code field to the Cart page. It would certainly lift your conversion rates during these deals - unless that is something you are deliberately trying to throttle?

    • Totally agree with anglais88! Voucher codes not on the cart page is the bane of the online shopper's existence.

Still bought a case of Roger Harbord Coonawarra merlot though. Good deal!

  • Dan Murhphys is still cheaper (even after the $30) on my fav wine ie Penfolds bin 407. Oh well, will just wait till i see it on special

  • DAMNNNN…. the voucher is not working before midnight when I checked out at 11:45PM

  • If there was a website glitch, I'm sure the OP will help you out

  • Bugger saw this yesterday but didnt realise it expired last night :(

  • +2

Just received my 6 Mystery Margaret River Reds :)

    • And the taste?

      • I don't have red that often, but it's much better than Koonunga Hill that I got with another deal. Not sure what else I can say. Smooth, but not the smoothest I've had. Not too sweet… Like gimme said, it's even better if you let it breathe for a while.

  • I got mine too. I'd rate it above average. For $10 can't complain. (Decant and let it breath if you can to take the edge of it)
