I actually stumbled across the perfect pair from (of all places) Rebel Sports for $49.99 with free shipping and returns.
They just arrived this morning and fit beautifully.

Otherwise I have only bought Converse from the DFO at Brisbane airport when I've been in transit. Both times I have been there they were offering "buy one pair of converse get another at half price".
