  • Seriously..you need to shop around for a home loan that suits you. The last thing that you should be looking for is a minor kickback!
Getting the right loan could save you tens of thousands in the long term!

  • lol obviously ;) it's just that myrate and onedirect offer good loans, if there was any kick back it would be a bonus..

    • MyRate does offer $40 moneyback.

      Hope this helps…

      Cheers, Steve.

  • refund home loan, refund part of the commisions that they got

  • I learned that
you need to get good advice first how to structure your home loan (ie. identify what account is best for your need)
    then choose best mortgage provider.
You can choose to moninate financial broker but you can also choose to get rid of middle man as well.

If your financial provider is doing good job and worth the commission (coming from your home loan interest and fees), then good for you. But if you are in doubt, choose non-frilled online broker.

    The good comparison site is
    http://www.yourmortgage.com.au/
who is publishing Mortgage magazine in Australia.

I thought MyRate was good but you can even find better mortgage providers here.

    • Be really careful with MyRate. I was looking at using them and wanted a pre approval. I then changed my mind and they are charging me $400. I was told valuation was free for your first one. Was not told anything about a fee to put together forms. but YES in fine fine print in the email it does mention if I cancel then they take 400 from my credit card which they take your details prior. I am so annoyed! because after getting contract and actual reading all the other fee's like exit fee's I was not sure if I wanted to go with them! but now they want 400 bucks for nothing!! worse than a bank! seriously a bank wouldn't dare treat you like this
