Hey guys,
I need to get my rear tyre changed on my Sym Bowell Vs125. I was quoted $89 for the tyre + $50 fitting. But I'm on a really tight budget at the moment and can't afford that.
Would anyone know where I can get a new tyre fitted under $100 in and around Sunshine (Victoria)?
Tyre size is 130/70-12.

Surely there's a few motorcycle shops nearby? I'd ring around for quotes because $139 for one tyre is bull.

The $139 quote came from Westside Motorcycles. :)
And I just called up Race Replica and got told it's $107.95 fitted so I just booked it in, seems like the cheapest I can get.
But if you do find any cheaper ones please let me know for future reference.

One of three scenarios then:
- tyre wasn't in stock and he pays top dollar to supplier,
- he tried to take advantage of a perceived lack of knowledge (I'm assuming you're female),
- he was expecting well 'ard biker types and didn't want them to see a girly little scooter in the workshop :P
It's about $40-$50 for a tyre off-on (ie repair or new) in Perth, so you might just have to suck in the air and reach deep. At least you save $$$ on petrol the rest of the time. :>)
