  • Isn't this the same TV Dick Smith was doing for $699??

    • Uhh yeah.

That's the exact same model for $100 dollars more. So, your point is?

I think he's referring to the fact that someone mentioned you can get it for cheaper at Dick Smith but in fact you can't (or not any more at least).

      • Well, clearly $899 is a better deal than $997!
If you read the (whole) thread, I was suggesting to Michegianni that this Sony can't be had for $699 @ D.S.E. (unless they know something I don't).

My point in short is that $899 beats an available $997 and a seemingly unavailable $699.

  • The low-end Sonys don't seem any better than any other cheap TVs.
This does not seem like a bargain anymore, when bigger (37") or full-HD TVs are going at similar prices.
Its only a 1 year warranty too.

    • You are right. It is hard to spend $899 on 32 inches when 42 can be had for about the same price. I have been looking for a 32 inch for the spare room for a while now and I am not p repaired to pay more for a 32 inch than I would for a 42.

You could pickup a 32" Samsung Series 5 FULL HD for $1000 with 3 yrs warranty

  • I picked a 32" up at DSE for $850.. The $999 deal for the 37" was nicer :)

  • Yeah the price from what I've heard in terms of cost is about 780ish. Stores wanna get rid of this because apparently it may be a disco model or a model they are keen to remove. It's the lowest end of the Sony Bravia line. $899 isn't bad, but you could probably do better.
