Tell Me Coles $5 Survey Spending $100

Hello, many times I have attempted to do the coles survey which gives a $5 voucher which is meant to be emailed to me, you either have the option for 1000 fly by points or the $5, I have checked my junk mail and obviously inbox and there has been nothing, has anyone else having the same issue. I thought the $5 always displayed upon completion of the survey, why was it changed???

  • I too have not got my points for the survey oddly, I did get it from the sign up to the spam list from the previous deal.

  • Should just take the 1000 points, worth the same anyway.

  • +2

I've been doing it every month for the last 3 and only once did they credit me 1000 points. I wrote to their facebook page and they have credited me all the backlog of points.

  • They are very slow to give the points

    • I agree. My april points were very quick, my may points took a long time to come and my june points haven't turned up at all. Who knows when the july points will credit? All the surveys were done at the start of each month.

      • Same here, I still haven't received last months' points. I thought it was only me.

  • Coles appear to change the conditions on this survey from time to time. I have no idea why. You used to be able to download the PDF voucher in your web browser but I didn't see this option last time I did the survey.

I suggest you use the Coles contact us form on their web page and mention you didn't get your voucher. When I did this last year someone from the Tell Coles team sent me an email reply with the voucher attached.

Tell Coles seem to change their policies on the deliver of the voucher occasionally. There was a point last year when you had to download the voucher using your web browser, the email option wasn't there. I complained about this and I'm guessing other people did too and eventually they went back to the email idea.

I now just take the 1000 points so I don't have to spend the $100 qualifying limit. I find I get much better flybuys offers now that I spend under $100 for all my transactions.

    • "Coles appear to change the conditions on this survey from time to time." Probably after reading Ozbargain :-).

  • I got like 3 fake Coles gift cards messages on WhatsApp after I did that survey… Is this Tellcoles.com.au legit?

    p.s. The sender's number begins with +49

I don't even go to Coles, I only took my mum's shopping recept and did the survey… Now I am getting these Ads…

I am pretty sure this is where the problem starts because I only gave them the number here. I think it was in the Price draw page.

    • I don't actually know what "WhatsApp" is so I can't comment on that aspect of your question. Tell coles seems to be reliable enough and I've received both the vouchers from them and the flybuys points depending on which option I have chosen.

If you are worried about Coles sharing information with other parties check the privacy conditions in the terms and conditions of the survey.

I'm not an IT expert so I can only speculate on what was happening. I also probably won't use the correct terminology here but I will try to give you an idea of my theory. I am guessing that some of the software etc that was running on your network at the time you were doing the survey was tracking the types of sites you were visiting and sending information back to a source. This then sent out targeted adds or other communications as a result of the information they gained about your browsing and possibly your spending habits.

    • I haven't even done a survey and still got a message on Whatsapp. It's just a scam, don't click it.

  • I haven't received a reminder to do the survey again, but I'm definitely going to buy something this month.

    • The last time I did the survey it didn't ask me to request a reminder email. I guess they've changed that option.
