Mighty Ape - Order Lost Order not being fullfilled

Hey all,

I purchased the PS3 Dualshock from this offer:

http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/108268

After a week and no delivery i go and check the status of delivery etc and austpost tracking site stating item delivered - but the delivery suburb and shipment information received suburb are weird.. im no where near that suburb!

02/07/13 15:41 Shipment information approved ALEXANDRIA NSW
02/07/13 09:36 Delivered VILLAWOOD NSW
02/07/13 05:12 On board with driver for delivery today VILLAWOOD NSW
27/06/13 12:51 Shipment information received ALEXANDRIA NSW

After a spoke with austpost rep -what's happened is that Australia post (epost) left the parcel on my property but they did not get a signature.

I spoke to Australia Post and mightyape use the epost service but without signature ( didnt know this was possible for epost) - so the agent left the parcel at the door since no one was home. wasnt the best solution as i live near a school!

Aust post rep told me to resolve the issue with mightyape as they are the sender and they will resolve the solution.

Emailed Toni George ( NZ Branch) on numerous occasion with prompt replies but then when he found out that the parcel was left at the doorstep - there was suddenly no reply after 3 emails stating the status… its like they dropped off the planet!

They gave up all hope… i dont have my dualshock and no refund or reply to the enquiry into whats happening!

Has anyone else had issues such as this? Any info would be great!

  • well.. you didnt pay for the "Signature" service. So, I dont think you can blame them.

I had the same experience with MightyApe. but when they checked with Aus Post and got a reply that the item was lost in transit. They promptly re-sent the item to me.

It's difficult in your case. I mean you have no proof that you didnt receive the item, but Aus Post and Mighty Ape have proof the item was delivered to you.

  • +1

The fact that the delivery wasn't made from your local DC sounds a bit odd. How far are you from the Villawood DC? Where is your nearest one?

Make sure you double check the address that the item was shipped to, as it may have been sent to a similar address elsewhere. Can the AusPost rep confirm if your address matches the one that it was delivered to?

  • The liability really falls to Auspost, although you didn't pay for signature service they should be not in a position to place it any place it anywhere nilly willy. Auspost really need some competition and a boot up their backside.
