    At 60% off yes. I wouldn't rely on them to backpack around the world, but for throwing in the back of a car for a camping trip they're fine.

    I have to disagree. My local Anaconda (West Gosford) is run on a skeleton staff, with stock strewn about, lack of price tags, missing shoes (can't find the match to the display) and general mayhem. Trying to get assistance in that store is impossible. The constant discounting and minimal staffing provides a miserable shopping experience. The race to the bottom for Aussie retailing is in full steam…

      Dunno, plenty of other countries seem to have good service AND low prices. I think retail service was never an Australian forte.

      The staff at the Springvale store (adjacent to Ikea) provide some of the best customer-service I've experienced in a long time. The shop is a decent size and usually kept very well too.
