LG Optimus Spirit - Upgrade Android 2.3.4 to 4.2?

Hi,

I have the LG Optimus Spirit running Android 2.3.4 Was wondering whether anyone has or know if its possible to upgrade the Os from 2.3.4 to 4.2 jellybean. Maybe scotty could help?
(I know i have to root it ect but is it possible and will it be slow ect)

    Googling a bit shows there is a CyanogenMod in the works for LG Optimus Spirit "4g" (not sure what the distinction is, but it's likely a US carrier version).

    TBH if you want a JellyBean device you should probably consider buying a new android phone that already comes with JB preinstalled. There's plenty of options like the Aldi Bauhn for $149 and a Huawei G500 / ascend P1 for $199.

    If you're daring you can even try a THL W100 for $160 USD delivered from China and will give you a decent stock Android experience.

    Old devices with older processors don't cope very well with the increased graphical performance requirements of Android ICS and above.
