Sunday markets and swap meets are the best place for bargains but in terms of hit and miss, it's usually a miss, sometimes you strike gold. I picked up secret of evermore for $8 bucks complete in box. My missus was a bit cranky I didn't try and get it cheaper. It's nearly criminal getting it that cheap so asking would just be scumb-bag low. She doesn't doesn't understand these things -_- lol.

I think I have a spare copy of donkey kong country beating around I'll have a look when I got home. Possibly even a few more of other games + other systems.

Of course there is gumtree, tradingpost, cash converters webshop (cash converters stores seem to be cheaper though). The goodna store in ipswich/QLD usually has a few from various systems there :\ probably all stolen knowing goodna haha.

Ebay is allways a good for just about anything but often the good games are also pretty expensive. Quite often you'll find a game you loved as a kid wasn't loved by everyone else and is actually pretty cheap ! Hot tip would be to try and find a seller from england or other countries with english PAL games cause they tend to be a bit cheaper. The postage can kill it though.

I actually modded one of my SNES's to have a region lock on/off switch, as well as a 50hz/60hz switch, so now NTSC games are available for me too, which are almost allways cheaper. Jap games too (I did i for DBZ games). The mod itself is not for the feint hearted though and I wouldn't recommend it unless you have a junky spare snes to try it on (I toasted one of mine on first try).

Also if there are any dump/tips that sell stuff (not many of these left anymore) it is possible you'll find stuff there. This is where I found my first snes and a copy of spiderman and the sinister six for game-gear. the snes worked a treat, no idea about the game though.

  • cool rom dot com

  • There is a shop in Fairfield called city finance with tons of retro games, but the games there are pretty expensive. For example I saw super metroid but it was $80. They even had old Game and Watches.
