Radio Flyer tricycle

Hi all.
I'm looking for a radio. Flyer tricycle sort of like this one.

http://www.goeasyonline.com.au/index.php?route=product/produ…

I googled it and found it for about $60 at Target USA website for about $60 but it retails for about $150 here in the stores. Help!

Thanks.

  • i'd avoid the one in the link as its seat has no back so might not be as safe or comfortable as plastic bucket seats that do

    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/100789 might help :)

  • I've got the one in the link. had it for 5 years. three youngsters have used it/still use it.

the push stick is great/ awesome. we had another trike with no stick and after 5 minutes of pushing whilst bent over…

there is one in williamstown on ebay (second hand but looks good) 8 days left $50

shipped from ebay US - just over $100

    • I have a baby turning one in a few weeks… I am eying the one in Williamstown though like you said, 8 days, and they described it as a bit rusted.

Can you give me the link for the one shipped from ebay US?

Thought maybe the scoot-about could be a good choice, but I do like the stick option… hmmm…

DJ's seems to have the best price so far…

      • my one has rusted.

mainly on the front wheel mudguard.

the one in the williamstown auction looks fine.

        They are sturdy trikes.

personally, I'd go for the williamstown trike.

but if it is for a 1 year old then you might like to go for something a bit smaller. I got the trike for my eldest when she was 2.5 years old. she loved it.

You could get a quote from a freight forwarded - eg. priceusa.com.au

        US one$113 delivered-

  • If you're ok with pink, $97 + shipping at HN seems reasonable: http://www.harveynorman.com.au/radio-flyer-classic-dual-deck…

    • doesn't have the push bar. it's essential

    • So tempting…. But push bar is important! Wonder if they can be installed?

  • Actually this is the description. Looks like it might come with one?

Getting an early head start is important for kids acquiring any new skill and riding a bike is no different! This little cutie helps kids safely build all the confidence they need to tackle a full-size bike! Made from a sturdy steel construction, with real rubber tyres and a removable push-along handle for mum or dad, it’s a durable, safe and fun learning tool!

  • Thank you!!

  • The tricycle arrived yesterday. Think it doesn't come with a push handle. We're not opening it yet, but the pics and description on the box do not have the handle. :( Wrote to COTD… not sure if I'm going to win this one. :(
