Sydney Morning Herald EXPEDIA Offer forcefully cancelled?

Hello.

I recently signed up to the "EXPEDIA" 3-month FREE Sydney Morning Herald Offer, despite the fact I am not an Expedia customer.

I got a total of 3 days worth of the SMH newspaper.

It appears that EXPEDIA have gone out of their way to actually compare their Member records & FORCEFULLY cancel all SMH subscriptions at the Newsagent level who are not Expedia clients.

They have practically scrambled about 10 staff to rung each individual Newsagent up by telephone & say "Cancel Mr. Smiths subscription immediately".

Which explains why I haven't recieved a SMH newspaper since Tuesday.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

Has anyone else had their newspaper subscription cancelled?

P.S: Expedia, which is part of the Fairfax group, is a multibillion dollar public company. This smacks of niggardly pettyness.

Well if they required to be a Expedia member then I don't see any reason why they shouldn't cancel people's subscriptions.

Being a multimillion corporation doesn't mean they have to give out freebies.
