Strawberry Punnets 3 for $3 at Woolworths [NSW/ACT]

260

Hello,

So many Woolies deals lately but I didn't notice any for 3 punnets of strawberries for $3.

Remember, as with all multi buy deals, you can buy additional items for the discounted price (ie. in this case, each extra punnet would be $1 each). You're not limited to intervals of 3 (just 3 or more).

Ends midnight this Sunday (11/08/13).

NSW/ACT ONLY
WA has 3 boxes of grape tomatoes for $3
QLD/VIC/TAS/SA/NT have 3kg of various apple varieties for $3.

Note: I work at woolworths but do not represent them in any official capacity. Some stores may have lots of stock or none. No rainchecks. Full T&C at the link provided.

I never knew you can buy additionals at the discounted price, thanks for the info.

    • I was surprised at this too, I only found out recently when someone bought extras. You'd think it would be advertised more but I guess they have their reasons.

    • You can do the same thing at Coles.

  • Just tasted some strawberries and they were very bland / lacking in flavour…
    Pity, as they looked good.

I live within 50k radius of many Strawberry farms (Sunshine Coast area QLD)
and have found the strawberries this year have been often bland ?
(we did have a damp autumn and beginning of winter so maybe the lack of sunlight earlier in the growing season makes a difference)

This has applied to ones direct from growers/supermarkets/roadside fruit stalls.

      • Got some

        Red but no flavour

      • yeah same.
Bought different brand from different shops and they're all bland :(

  • managed to snatch 3 but theyre gone as theyre being shelved

  • I'll see if I can't snatch some in the morning :)
    Cheers OP.

Whenever strawberrries are cheap, they're usually going off or bad in quality. I never bother if they're cheaper than $3.

I think it has to do with the season you buy them, theoretically they would taste better in the harvesting season, i.e when they are cheaper like right now. Its against the ozbargain spirit to think that expensive=better :P

It's not just the taste.. they are going off when they are cheap. If you look at it, the berries look wet and discoloured in spots. You get what you paid for.

        • They always look like that in woolworths.
You're supposed to search the boxes for the best set.

  • I bought 1kg packs of red delicious apples in one of these promo's yesterday - $3.95 each or 3 for $3. Bit of a no-brainer, really.

  • Yum! These are delicious from my Woolies, and big punnets too! Ended up buying 9 and sticking 5 in the freezer for smoothies. Thanks OP.
