Gillette Fusion ProGlide Razor Blades 8 Pack $22.39 from Woolworths

160

These are the better "ProGlide" version and are made in Germany. Cheaper than the eBay deals I have seen. Best bricks and mortar price around (AFAIK) and comes with free handle.

I found these near the batteries at Woolworths, Heidelberg, VIC.

Been looking for a good deal for a while and was not willing to trust the eBay sellers.
Shaver shop has the 6 pack on special for $28.79 http://www.shavershop.com.au/online-store/blade-shavers/wome…

Pack states 7 blades - Plus Free Fusion Proglide manual razor with a blade attached. Total 8 blades.

About the blades…..
The Gillette® Fusion® ProGlide™ Blades are Gillette’s most advanced blade ever. Thinner, finer blades with a low-resistance coating glide effortlessly through hair for less tug and pull, providing incredible comfort, even if you shave every day.
The redesigned precision trimmer features an improved blade compared to Fusion and anti-clogging rinse slots, useful when shaving in tricky places like under the nose.
That’s just one of the many features you’ll find on the Gillette Fusion ProGlide and Gillette Fusion ProGlide Power Razors.

Saw these on Saturday. Great bargain considering the Fusion razors are 4 for ~$25.

  • What is the battery power for?

stick to safety razor. A one time purchase of a razor which will last you 25 years, then a pack of 100 blades can be bought online for around 15 bucks including shipping.

    • Indeed.

Wouldn't a real OzBargainer just grow a beard?

    • I've just gone and googled safety razors and found some on Amazon which ship to aus.

      This looks ok.

      Any recommendations?

      • Recommend Edwin Jagger or Merkur. That Edwin one on Amazon looks like exactly what you want. It does look like it would be very 'aggressive' though, Maybe work your way up to that one (never seen it in person though, just judging by the pics)

As much as I would like to stick it to the likes of Gillette and Schick, for me at least the fact remains that the disposable multi-blade razors work best.

I made an attempt to switch to a Meruk DE razor. Admittedly their razors do last longer, are super easy to clean, and are much cheaper in comparison (especially without the use of razorpit or equivalent with the multi-blade razors) but, at least for me, they result in many more cuts and require me to be much more careful and slow in shaving that I would have with a multi-blade, particularly around the chin curve.

I made a genuine effort to get used to them over a month but I simply couldn't get the hang of it. Amazon shows there are apparently many highly satisfied customers, I don't appear to be one of them, however.

      • They do take a lot more prep and care than multi bladed razors, thats for sure!

  • $16.79 at Colonnades SA … and they had quite a lot, stashed down low in the usual section. Grabbed quite a few - great bargain (that I wouldn't have looked for if it wasn't for the OP … thanks deal88).

  • Bought a pack tonight from Woolies Prospect NSW, still 5 packs left on the shelf, no clearance ticket, however when scanned, it came up as approx. $17

  • Hey guys, any Woolworth shop around Sydney CBD that you have seen this deal, thanks in advance!!!
