Was at Bing Lee Casula last night and spoke to the sales man about the 60inch f8500 plasma from Samsung, he gave me a quote of $1933 including delivery; offer ends Sunday. Website says 1999 though.

HD nation guys are really impressed with set, great picture quality and bright screen.

  It's not unusual to be able to negotiate with a retailer and get a lower price than that being advertised. Your post doesn't add anything new over the previous one you quoted.

  Edit: sorry I didn't see the part about the cashback from Samsung.

    Well, previous one was marked expired, I thought the deal had expired and was hoping for a similar price. Didn't really negotiate much at all, doesn't hurt to let people know about lower prices.

      You can let people know, but you can't guarantee that everyone will be able to get the same price, so the title should be the original price before negotiation.

    Projectors require some serious time and thought into laying out a home theatre room that may necessitate some DIY, rearranging of furniture and obviously an existing audio set-up; Plasmas are just plug and play. The F8500 is no slouch, reviews place it as being on par with the Panasonc VT series (probably the best Plasmas still in production).

    Oh and I didn't neg ya. Just constructive feedback here.

    Whilst I can agree with parts and you probably have personal experience in this, I don't think that is the case for many, many people who buy a television.

  Great TV for the price. Mine was delivered on Wednesday so just running it in with slides. Picture is amazing, and love now having Netflix on the TV so my Rok can go into my bedroom. The sound from the TV is shocking though!
