Want to purchase a i30 Active Hyundai in Melbourne

Hi ,
I am in the market for a i30 Hyundai active auto. I reside in Melbourne. There is a few deals for Hyundai currently running in Melbourne . Went to see a few dealers and the best price after the $1,000 cash back with metallic colour , is $21,800.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.
Should I look at other cars as well. It seem that auto market is swimming with special deals and offers until end of August for new car buyers.

Cheers

  • Hyundai i30, Mazda 3, Nissan Pulsar, Toyota Corolla, Ford Focus, take your pick. All priced similar in the lower models to the cheaper i30, but all will have different features.

Check them all out and budget accordingly.

Purchase in the final week of the month, negotiate free extras (mats, window tinting, extended warranty, rego, upgraded rims etc) and be prepared to bargain between dealers. One dealership might be more willing to drop their price over another for that extra sale.

  • What particular advice do you actually want? Should you check out other cars? Perhaps if they interest you.

If you want to buy it, then buy it. That's my advice.

  • Good choice I owned Hyundai i30 2.0 for 3 years and very happy with purchase. I had a good response from Yarra Hyundai at johnston st., Abbotsford.

  • I bought an Elantra in February. I got the best deal at Yarra Hyundai. I decided on what I thought was a fair price for me and the dealer, and stuck to that figure in my negotiations. They held out for three weeks but eventually accepted my offer.

  • Hi guys

Thank you all for your informative advice and comment.
I shall pop over to Yarra Hyundai to see whether it can beat my best price and I will do end of the month to add the " meeting the budget target " squeeze for a better price .

    • Do keep in mind, the i30 doesn't come with a 2.0L engine anymore, it comes with a smaller 1.8L engine.

It'll save you money but it'll be a small bit slower. Considering it's an i30 means you're probably not going out for performance.

As WXYZ mentioned, they are great cars. I drove a diesel one in the UK and couldn't fault it apart from a lack of motorway speed… but that's small diesel engines for you.

      • Hi medrad ,
Thank you for the advice. I realise the engine of i30 is now standard 1.8 and the special edition is only 1.6 . I did not know it has Diesel engine . Perhaps it is an optional,
