3x Bars of Dove Soap $1.98 @ Priceline Instore

300

Went into Priceline (Joondalup) today to get some Dove soap. The single bars are usually 99c each at normal price. There was an offer advertised at 3 for 2 on all Dove products. I bought 6 bars and they scanned at $3.96. Can't see the single bars on the website though.

  • Works out well for the 1L pump body wash too … priceline have it for $9.99 usually (around $12-$13 in coles and woolies) and rarely on special for that size.

  • I also got a Treseme pack with 900ml shampoo, 900ml conditioner and a large can of hairspray for $9.99, great price!

  • Are the single bars normally $1, I would of swore that they aren't. Usually you can only get them at that price if Aldi or Reject Shop have them on special.

    • They're always 99c when I buy them at the Joondalup store, they have the original ones, pink breast cancer ones and the shea butter ones all 99c.

    • +1

Dang!… as a die-hard OzBargainer, it's now my sworn duty to move to Joondalup just for the bargain soap :)

Most places near me (North Ryde, NSW) sell them for around $4.50 for a 2 pack. Woolworths and Priceline sell them online nationally for that price too:

The only ones I see selling for $1 to $1.50 around here are the parallel imports - easily identified because the packaging has lots of writing in various foreign languages, whereas the local packaging is all English.

    • I'm curious, jendownunder, are the ones you are buying at Priceline, Joondalup, local Australian product or parallel imports? I ask because I don't think I've ever seen the local product sold as individual bars. Thanks.

  • They are blue & white boxes, not really sure if they are imports… would post a pic if i knew how..

    • No problem. Was just curious. Thanks.

      The box colour isn't relevant.

If anyone is curious, check out this photo, which shows an example of a parallel import packaging.

  • They have them at Southland VIC Melbourne SE. Expires 26/8/13 Made in Germany.

    • Following up on this, when I was at bigw yesterday the 4pk said made in indonesia on the back. But a packet I bought a year ago is identical to the ones at priceline, and that was bought from WW in a 4pk.
Perhaps the regular stores have swapped to the parallel import types, and these are the original?

Whatever the case they feel like dove soap and 67c is an unbeatable price
