My girlfriends birthday is in a couple of weeks, and she's asked for a 3DS. She promises to get me a PS4 for xmas/birthday (they're the same day), so I can't complain. Naturally, I do still want the best deal going around.

Try $549. But as I said, the PS4 is for both my birthday and xmas. If the 3DS is ~250 (I'll probably end up buying locally), and I'll get her a game on top of that, I'm looking at about $300 just for her birthday. Assuming I spend about the same amount on her xmas gifts, then we would both be pretty even. Fool proof calculations :p

Thats not a bad deal. But you need to get a cheap charger off ebay.
The Ps4 is like $450 and a 3DS would cost $200. You better buy her a lot of games to compensate!
If you are going to buy a 3DS, buy one from Europe which takes advantage of the friend recommendation code schemes for games like MH3.
