Or buy stout and leave under the sink and never need a bar fridge! :D

I so read that as BatFridge™

  • Ive been thinking of getting a bar fridge like this, anyone have an opinion on this one?

    • Bought one few months ago. The freezer is virtually non existence. :(

    • Found some reviews, a mixed bag: http://www.productreview.com.au/p/stirling-aldi-bar-fridge-1…

I bought a bar fridge from ALDI about 5 years ago, though I can't remember if it was the same brand. Anyway, it was far too noisy for where I wanted to use it, so returned it no problems (except for the transport in both directions…).

  • They also have a 220 litre that is under $300 . Sorry didn't note the full details but thought it was a good deal.

  • Would a car battery run this with inverter? I'm planning a once off camping trip and this might do instread of dedicated car fridge? Benefit is I get to use it after camping in spare room.

  • Will cost you around $72 to run per year.

288 kWh * whatever you pay on average per kWh.

    • People also need to remember that the "Star Ratings" are adjusted by the size of the fridge.

So a 2.5 Star bar fridge will use a lot less energy than a 3 star full-size fridge.

will likely use less than 288kWh if you don't open the door much as is typical with a beer fridge… although if you are opening it every half an hour or so most nights then that's another story. Still, electricity retail tariffs are heading for 30c/kWh or more, in NSW anyway, so that fridge could soon be costing you almost $100 a year or so to run soon. Latest 500L fridges (4X the capacity of this) can easily achieve consumption less than double this bar fridge so if you're in the market for a new 'main' fridge, you might want to get a larger one and save yourself the money of running this extra bar fridge.
