      i kinda prefer physical:(

    • Mine just did after signing up for PS+. I just bought a 750gig drive from Umart for about $85 and now I am golden. You will need another drive to backup your 120gig, but as it happened I also bought a 2TB WD passport from JB for $150 as well :D

    Thanks, great deal!

Does anyone else get super slow speeds downloading anything from PSN? (even updates) worried this will take years to download.

    • +1

I just finished my download. :)

    • yes this will take me a whole day to download

  • How much is this game usually on the PS store?

    • $50, which is why I was kind of surprise at the price when it was 50% off.

  • Thanks! Just purchased :), can't wait to play this.

  • Thanks for the post. Just wondering, does anyone know if the language can be changed to Japanese on the digital version? I know the retail disc lets you but not sure about digital. I figure to save download space and bandwidth they might have taken it out. I'd prefer to play it in its original form so if it's not available I'll wait to get the disc that cheap I suppose

    • The demo had both audio options, if that helps.

But give the English dub a chance. The voice acting is just brilliant, Level-5 did an excellent job in casting the right actors and for the voice work. I couldn't imagine playing this game in Japanese actually - and I'm usually one to prefer the original too.

    • Of course it does. This isn't the Xbox where the disc doesn't have enough space for 2 languages.

      • At 21GB they haven't saved download space for anything.

Also yes, the English voice dub is excellent, I prefer it by a long way. Mr Drippy is great.

        • Yep. English dub is worth it just for Drippy's voice.

  • Definitely will be buying this. Was keen on it before, but not a big enough JRPG/RPG fan to pay anywhere near full price. At $25 it's a steal.

    • I'm not into JRPG, just this and Persona 4 Golden. This was first class, charming story and characters and hard to put down once you get going.

Had to delete almost all of my games to install this. Can't wait to play - just waiting to finish these assignments over the next few days. It's weird, I have like two games installed now (NFS:MW and Saints Row 3), plus this, and I now have less than 15GB space left. It's a 120GB drive so to me it seems like there's something taking up space, maybe a corrupt installation or something..who knows. I'm gonna buy a 750GB drive and then redownload all of my PS+ games again which will take a whole week probably

Edit: PS+ September is insane too. I got half way through AC3 before my xbox broke and never got around to getting the game again so I'm excited to finish that off. But again..need more space

    • Check for porn. It's probably porn.

    • reformat your drive maybe

    • I had a weird problem with this - the download was 21.6GB, I had 25GB free space according to the system settings in the PS3, but it wouldn't even let me start the download because I supposedly didn't have enough free space.

So bit by bit I deleted some PlayTV recordings, tried the download again, and still wouldn't let me until i had 45GB free! 45GB of space was required for a 21.6GB download! I'm guessing it's got something to do with the stupid way the PS3 downloads and then you have to manually install afterwards, probably needing to reserve space for both right from the start. Either way, it was absolutely ridiculous.

Started the game up though and the graphics are just fantastic. Like you're playing a cartoon.

      • You need space for the download and install so (21.6 + 21.6) you needed more than 43.2GB in order to install the game. I'm guessing the PS4 won't have this architecture as the Vita doesn't. It can be annoying at times.

        • I honestly can't believe in this day and age that that is how Sony handle digital downloads on the PS3 lol. Absolutely crazy. If you had a 40gb PS3 you literally couldn't download Ni No Kuni!

        • Yeah but if you had a 4gb Xbox you can't download anything, lol?

        • USB storage is supported on 360 for games ;)

I get your point though. But having 40GB and not being able to download a 21.6GB game is crazy. It'd be like having a 4GB 360 and not being able to download a 2GB game.

        • USB storage is available but you still need a HDD upgrade in order to use Live don't you. Anyhooo to be fair if you have little enough interest in PS3 to still have a 40GB console or to not have upgraded your HDD then chance are that you are not going to be looking to download games anyway, particularly a niche title like this.

        • Nah you don't need an HDD upgrade to use Live, 4GB console will do just fine.

Agree on all the rest of your points. There's no excuse for requiring double the space the game takes before you can actually even download it though.
