Coke unleashed rewards insane cokers!

I was just having a glance for the coke rewards that have expired lately, but curiosity got to me thinking how on earth can $250 jb hifi gift cards be even sold out? It takes almost 3000points which is equivalent to 300 bottles of coke to achieve, now that's a lot of coke, wouldnt even consume that a year, that's diabetes for you son. The only solution is that if your the shop/restaurant owner and salvage bottles after hours, or lastly you go to the dumpster!!!

  • Ive often pondered the same thing!

To be honest, this deal made it worth it to walk around the the parks picking off Coke Labels. Maybe some people do this, after all. There are coke bottles all over the roads nowdays.

  • I once scavenged about 12 coke labels after a sporting event. Just looked for the recycling trashcans surrounding the vending machines and there should be plenty in there for you to grab.

Yeah we should also dress up as hobos while we scavenge for those labels.

There are some people who still want to maintain a shred a dignity.

I just wear my ozbargain T-shirt and even the CHUDs leave me alone when scavenging.

I'm still waiting for someone to post a good deal on dignity

I got a return at about $10 a label with the $200 ticketek vouchers. I bet if you were walking in the park and saw $10 notes everywhere you wouldn't be too proud to pick em up.
Plus people have been collecting for 2 years to get those balances, good for kids as a better return than the collecting cans I used to do.
Bet there's a lot of multiple accounts for cleaners/recyclers/waiters though.

yeah, it's like free money. people don't get that.

it's like old car batteries. some recycle places pay $5 each. I see them dumped around the place and think "free money, free money"

This is where having a mate working at a recycling plant would be helpful.

  • How cryptic are the codes? Are they randomly generated? I know of people getting a code like 5A604 and just typing 5A605 ect ect onwards

    • It depends how organised they are, i bet they just use a password hash to generate the codes.

Having said that, people have decrypted cityrail tickets, and xbox live points. So anything is possible

    • The latest codes have 13 characters (think there was 11 when it first started).

      35 (26 letters + 10 digits, '0' & 'O' being interchangeable) ^ 13 is a big number (1.1827272e+20).

They only allow a certain number of incorrect entries before barring any further attempts for a set period of time (24 hours or something) so a script wouldn't really help.

And having said all that, Coke just expired 660 of my points.

    Thanks Coke.

Is that "thanks CCCA"? Or "thanks cocaine, I was partying and forgot to claim before they expired, but I do have tigers blood"?

      • +2

Well I've spelt Coke with a capital 'C', for a reason.

…but this is the internet, so why not, use your imagination.

I don't know why this has been negged so much, I thought it was funny :P

    • Yeah I lost 100 points on that Coke Unleashed/Rewards change over. Not happy :( That was like 10 cokes man!

    • Sorry plmko I didnt realise what you meant, I thought you lost your points on the Coke Unleashed/Coke Rewards change over like I did. Didnt realise that with the new Coke Rewards if you dont spend them in 90 days you lose them, just saw that then on the site. Thats a bit sucky. How much Coke can you drink it 90 days, geez

      Wow!
      Do you have any spares?

  • @bs0 Theyve got Thredbo Ski Lift & Rental vouchers thats 3 people covered for a day with those points. Thatd be a pretty awesome weekend. Otherwise the Sony camera sounds alright. Be a bit of a waste not to spend those points :)

    • found this on the site, so as long as you enter a code every 3 month it's fine.

      Will my Tokens expire?
If you haven’t entered a Unique Code or used any of your Tokens for 90 days, your Tokens will expire. You will be notified via your registered email address 7 days prior to your Tokens expiring if no action is taken. Your Tokens will expire within 7 days if no action is taken.

      • Oh thats alright at least you dont lose them all, you just have to buy a Coke wallpaper every 90 days :)

  • is this site still closing at the end of the year or have they change it to extend the life of the program, anyone know?

    • Haven't heard anything specifically about it ending. Started 2006 in the United States, 2011 here in Australia.

    • I think you're thinking of the Nescafe Cup of Rewards.

  • I have a husband addicted to coke zero and have 6800 points. I've gotten a few things over the years too. My hubby and one of our kids also have accounts with points. I never drink the stuff, he alone generates 20-30 coke zero labels each week. So all you need is one person who drinks the stuff, and it's easy to get a heap of points.
