    I always thought that Fleece was from wool, but according to Target, it's polyester…

      According to Wikipedia:
      "Fleece is a general term for a soft fabric (often with a deep pile)"
      No deep pile on these jumpers but they are soft/fabric, so I guess according to Target they qualify.

      My understanding exactly. I always thought fleece came from sheep wool. Apparently it does not.

    Thanks OP, didn't need fleece but it prompted me to check on school clearance items.
    Picked up an extra 2 of these jackets in larger sizes for my daughter as she grows.
    I'd already bought two when they were $14 each.
    Lovely and warm, detachable hood.
    Great jacket for $7!!
