I got an email from Lowes Menswear.
You can get 20% off gift cards up to Fathers day 2013. Then buy clothes with it the same day and get another 20% off the clothes, that's 36% off.
Gift cards last for 1 year.

  20% off 20% off is 36% off overall, but only if the total of the items ticketed 20% off matched exactly the face value of the gift cards. ie the best possible scenario is up to 36% off. Pretty good.

  So I just figured out how to edit my posts so I can out up the true value and Lowes are actually having a 20% off sale in store as well. So you will get 20% off your gift card and then 20% off the original ticket price. But you have a year to use them so keep it for when they have their other sales like 50% off.

    Sorry I'm not sure but you could buy the gift cards and then buy them. If they are like some others stores the NRL stuff is probably reduced already. So buy a gift card and then buy it or wait and see if they get reduced further and then use it

  does this apply to school uniforms - lowes is often the only supplier for a lot of schools in melbourne anyway.

      needed uniforms today anyway (kids wont stop growing taller), so this was good timing. uniforms werent on sale (never are) so 20% was very good. thanks OP

        They normally have 20% off gift cards sometime around Christmas as well. I believe they only give the discounts off the gift cards twice a year (fathers day and Christmas)

        Just got another email form Lowes saying $5 for selected schoolwear stuff but you can only buy it online. I've just had a quick look and it looks like it is all of their winter stuff; trackpants, blouses, jumpers and so on. Maybe you could stock up for next year.

  Thanks OP. Got my gift card in store today for the exact amount I wanted - so much easier than ordering online (P+H plus only certain demonitions available).

  Confirmed 20% off gift cards in Brisbane CBD store. There didn't seem to be 20% off everything else however.
