    Had never heard of it before, but apparently it only counts keys, rather than records the order of keystrokes.

      There is no way of knowing. You know that it monitors the keyboard. You know it sends data back. As a closed source application you can't know much else.

      Even if the developers have the best of intentions:

      • Did they leave a security hole open?
      • Can one member of the team insert bad code?
      • How can you verify that the download you have is even the correct build (not a trojan), given that a trojan would behave in exactly the same way? (and no ssl/checksum for download).
