    I really like the Kindle but… I've broken one* and had one die just outside of warranty. I'm not sure I'm keen for a third. I may just switch to using my phone. It's not remotely as good for reading books, but I've never broken one or had one fail on me. Plus good ole paper books.

      you can also use the android, iphone, pc, mac or blackberry app to read kindle books

      Amazon replaced my broken one for $40 - they even paid for retun postage. I've also heard of them doing out-of-warranty replacements for a similar price, or even for free.

      Thanks, I had to change my Kindle location to US. I already had my default Amazon address in the US, but it wasn't sufficient.

  can't get it to work… getting paperback editions for $16.55, but Kindle is still $46.04

    You'll need to change your kindle location to the US, regardless of what your default postage address is. Once you do this, the price changes $15.72. Hope that helps.

  can you just put any old random address, or do you have to use the link above? Does it affect the other parts of amazon account? ie. shipping costs/ shipping address etc?
