Probably many people also figured this out, you have to have the ING 5% pay wave rebate card, you can use it together with the tell coles $5 off voucher.
Just purchase between $100 - $105, with the tell coles voucher you bring the total cost down to below $100, then you can use the ING pay wave card, total savings is almost $10
If your ING 5% rebate is about to expire, just go and buy a bunch of coles gift cards
Why get a voucher?
If you take flybuys points for the survey, you can get $5 which you can spend at coles without even having to spend $1 let alone $100. (2000 points redemption = $10 off)
With flybuys you now redeem your points online, and you enter a password. Now all you do is tell the cashier to take $5 off your flybuys card. You just enter the password which you set and bingo the $5 comes off (or part there of and the balance remains)
However your point about buying gift cards from any store, if you are about to lose your ing 5% discount is a great idea. thanks for sharing that tip.
Tying up a few hundred dollars is a far better return than having the money in your account as it's a 5% flat savings vs 5% per annum.
Ing card can easily be reapplied with the brand new Pay wave with brand new 5% with brand new smile.

The total after the Tell coles voucher doesn't have to be over $100. You just need to get the transaction total over $100 for the voucher to work. I've done this several times last year. I thought what you originally thought but the checkout operator advised me otherwise. At one stage I had multiple coupons from various promotions and thought I had used them in the wrong order. The operator said I could still use the Tell coles voucher even though it would take the total to under $100. I ended using the tell coles vouchers for future transactions where the total payable after the voucher was under $100.
Now I just take the 1000 points for the survey as I never spend over $100 at Coles. I get much better flybuys targeted offers by spending less there.
I think they want people to read them incorrectly as it means that they get an extra $5 out of the customer. The $5 and $10 off flybuys coupons work the same way as far as the trigger total goes.
the point is to buy say $104.99, then you can use the tell coles voucher to bring the price to 99.99 (save $5), then you can use the paywave to save another $5
