SS2 was $2.50 on GOG the other day, but still a good bundle.

    • augh what ?
was it one of those 24 hours only sales ?

      • Possibly even less.. I noticed it then it was gone.

I was just about to post this…
    Maybe i should start drinking coffee/coke again…?

You were about to post it and yet no +ve vote?

    • You are always about to post these

      • Yeah, blame it on the rural internet…
        And my weird sleeping habiits…

You Mix Coffee and Coke? Gross.

  • Thanks, slowly getting closer to my old games count since they split dlc and games in the games read out on steam.

damn serious sam and shock2 pass for retro games now? i must be getting old…

    • +7

It's almost 15 years, pretty sure that counts.

I still have the occasional nightmare over SS2

    • Your song is not our song

I finally killed the Body of the Many last night, it's taken me a while.

    • Are you running away naked?

SYSTEM SHOCK 2 - Still the scariest game ever made!!!!!!!

    play with the lights on

    • Play with the lights off and headphones on. Epic scares.

    • I dunno, Outlast is pretty goddamn scary, though no so much psychological scary as SS2.

I couldnt get into it, the graphics have not dated well.

      • I do agree the graphics look kinda 'blehh' now.
But, back in the day, we thought they were great because that was all we had back then!
I'm hoping someone will create SS3 with great graphics.

Given the love for SS2 :-)
If you do get it, have a look for the System Shock 2 Rebirth mod

  • Tried playing Duke and Shadow Warrior again a few years ago … I'm afraid for me at least they're too old and I can't hack 2D enemies anymore (any Shadow Warrior fans spot the pun ;) System Shock 2 runs so slowly (as it was designed obviously) that I also find it no fun these days.

All the Serious Sam games are still a blast though.

worth it just for system shock 2, one of the best games ever made, bargain

    • +2

Agree, have been gaming since 1984 and i have to say System Shock 2 is still one of the best and most memorable games ever made.

  • +1

Wonder if a crowd-funding campaign to get System Shock 2 remade would succeed. i.e. just remake, no changes to plot or gameplay. Just better engine, graphics. I'd pay $50 no probs

    • Now that would be interesting :)

    • +1

System Shock has lots of licensing issues. It is amazing you can buy it at all.

    • I'd rather have a new game. SS3!
