    At a guess, for the most concerning ones:
    - Your messages (SMS/MMS): it shows how many unread msgs.
    - Your personal information: reads call log… shows missed calls.
    - Network communication: validate promo codes.
    - Phone calls: handles incoming phone calls.
    - System tools: disable screen lock, draw over other apps.
    - Your accounts: shows unread emails.

    But I could be totally wrong. ;)

  Its because it has to show missed calls, messages on the screen. That's y its asking for permission. My understanding.

      Pattern lock screen still works for me, it appears after unlocking Sparky and before your home screen/app appears. SGS2.
