    not a bargain… read the page carefully
    they also sell the device without harddrive, hdmi and no shipping for $230 less, but don't have to wait til end of May….
    1tb wd + hdmi + shipping for $230 more doesn't seem cheap

      Actually the standalone comes with free hdmi cable, and free shipping.
      It only lacks the HDD and wifi adapter

    Standalone price is already cheapest in Australia, $100 below RRP. 1TB AV HDD ($200) + WiFi adapter ($69.95) would be worth an extra $270 at Eljo's prices.

    Competitors sell the same thing for $620, and that's their sale price also not delivered til Mid May.

    I reckon its' a pretty good deal…

    Mazley - It will be worth the same as the manufacturers are sold out until May. This Stimulus Package comes from the next delivery to hit Australian shores.

    I don't understand who would spend several hundred on a product that they won't receive for 2 months - from a place that no one has heard of.

    Sounds a bit suss to me.

    Since it doesn't seem to be a widely carried Australian product (I'm sure it will be by the end of may), there's no real benchmark to set the base model against.. but for the addition of the HDD and the wifi adaptor - that's expensive!

      Or are they the same people?

      No Wireless Adapter included so the price is cheaper.
      Ends up being more expensive if you need the adapter.

        345(standalone) + 55(wifi) + 175 (HDD) = 575

        Save money if you just scrap the bundle entirely, pickup the standalone, and then peg your own add-ons.

    I still need a PVR more.
    For the cost of a Popcorn Hour and a PVR, I can build a pretty good PC that can do both.
