  The X-E1 with the 18-55 is probably the best all round camera system you can get for $1000 these days.

      You won't get one with a lens nearly as good for $1000. The X-E1 would kick it's arse if you wanted to make a big print not just because of the lens but also the bigger sensor with no AA filter.

        you said ALL ROUND. the omd em5 is a much superior camera for all round use. yes the xe1 has a bigger sensor and better iq but not by much. everything else the em5 would KICK ITS ARSE
