Www.e-go.com.au are good for large bulky items and are relatively cheap with some good deals I.e:
Door to door being base rate
Door to depot or depot to door attracting 25% discount
Depot to depot attracting 50% discount.

There are usually two depots in major cities and at ,east one in smaller cities. I'm not sure if they'd deliver to remote or country areas as I've only ever used depot to depot. One consignment I sent was 4x18"rims with tyres @ roughly 20kg a piece from a melb depot to a depot in Newcastle, costing me roughly $80 inc $1k insurance on the items

Caveat emptor: while its never happened to me (touch wood) and I've sent a lot of bulky car parts with these guys, someone i know has had a shipment lost in transit using e-go and reported that the communication and customer service were close to non-existent, leading the guy on a wild goose chase.

    Hope this helps.

  • Just looked at this site and in my recent experience e-go.com.au are a hidden gem, they are hands down the cheapest to Melbourne that I can find and I have booked a large carton to Melbourne that was going to cost me $587.90 through one of the big ones for $163.60 with them.
    Others quoted up to $1000.00.
    Thanks Neilgero

  • Had a look…..wow they seem almost too cheap!! got quoted about $70! thats insane. will call them to comfirm.

    thanks for the info!

  • I swear by Temando

  • itsfree
Temando seem to be ok as well, but they were dearer than e-go.com.au.
Temando also seem to be a broker type business.
I wonder how that would impact if there was a problem, dealing through a 3rd party and all.
