Hmm too bad I don't have net & mobile with iinet.

Considering that's a fairly massive caveat, you may want to reference iiNet in the title.

But on to the questions everyone wants to ask: who is martin, and why does he suck?

Got the same email and had a gander. If you're thinking of getting the S3 on a iiNet plan (Optus 4G), consider the S3 they are advertising is the i9300 which does not support 4G.

iiNet customers are asleep (offpeak),they don't realize its (anytime) now…

    • I see what you did there…, hated those plans! lol

  • i have both, i can buy, but what is the current going rate for these phones?

  • I think the s3 is definitely worth buying and reselling if u don't want it, I'd definitely want to buy a s3 for that price. In fact, if there is a nice iinet customer out there willing to help I'd be very appreciative.

NOT A DEAL FOR ME !!!!

  • Actually I am an iinet customer - we have phone, internet and mobile internet, but the fine print for this deal says you need to be an existing customer AND start a new mobile internet contract with them.
    Kind of crap really

looks like Internode has the same offer as an iinet-owned company.

  • Their service seems confusing. The customer services team member said it is $360 for handset and $15 per month for 24 months. Plus we must have Internet connection with them.

It's $360 outright OR $15/month for 24 months. I have BB, but don't want to go to them for mobile, so no deal for me.

  • I phoned to ask about it. The guy I spoke to said they hadn't been told anything about the deal yet. He said you do have to sign up for a mobile broadband for the phones but you can cancel after a month (this is for the 'outright' phone). For the tablet he thought I could just buy it as we already have mobile broadband - otherwise you would have to buy that aswell. But honestly I can't even find out how to do that on the website - its a really confusing deal.

    • Canceling after one month may be an option.

NB add $15 for sim card plus $15 for freight.

Why would you get an S3 when you can get an N4 for $320

hardware buttons and sd card expansion amongst other things

    • …and (even more importantly for me) reviews suggest that the S3 has a much better camera and is much more drop resistant. That's why I decided not to buy the N4 and instead to wait for another good deal on the S3 (pref the 4G version of the S3 "i9305" - which I think has 2GB of RAM whereas the S3 i9300 only has 1GB!!??)
