    x10 zoom $169

$118 if you want something for snow or water sports (makes for great shots/photography) but limited zoom

Also mobiles make for great cameras and you can upload pics to FB, Instagram ect

If on a honeymoon buy both, one each and then you will have lots of awesome pics and remember to GET THEM PRINTED, as didital isnt permeaent (burn a copy to DVD or BLURAY too as well as post online…

The waterproof camera makes for some great shots when your not worried about it getting wet too. Goggle PICASA is FREE to edit and upload pics

  • I've got some cheap happy snappers, but for all-round flexibility, I love the camera on my phone. So if you have a late model smartphone (mine: Samsung S3) - then you should be already good to go. I also have an Olympus Tough waterproof/shockproof camera…I find it pretty 2nd rate compared to the shots I take with the phone camera.

If I had to pick a happy snapper…I find the Canon does the best color matching/highlighting/modes.

The benefit of the separate camera though is battery life. I found myself in a gobsmackingly beautiful corner of Italy and the photos I was taking were awesome, but I started having to get economical towards the end of the day as the battery was draining fast on the phone and I'd left the dedicated camera behind in the van. (still got plenty of awesome shots though!)

  • The first rule of photography, the best camera is the one you have on you & so the humble mobile is often the best one to use, simply because its the one you have handy on you at the time.

The next best is the one in your g/f handbag and/or the one you have on your belt (small cameras in a case that fits on your belt is awesome FYI)

Lastly, focus - sharp images are always the best and then edit AND PRINT A HARD COPY as digital is tempoary but also post to instagram/facebook and share with everybody!
