Just wondering if anyone knows a good reliable car hire place in New Zealand which is relatively cheap?
I'm organizing to go for around 25 days in June and July the best deal i have found is a Ford Falcon for $1444
with Hertz i need a large car so Falcon or Commodore most prob if anyone knows of deals or can find a price that
beats this i would be ecstatic.

Cheers zhenjie will searching google to see what other people thought of Juicy i found apollo car rentals
and they can do a Toyota Camry for 25 days for $615 AUD which i think is going to be the best that is $34 a day :)
Also has anyone used apollo before and do they know of any promotion codes apollo has as there is a box there
might be able to save a little bit more :D

I used Ace car rentals when I was over there and it was extremely cheap. acerentals.co.nz
But they do use older cars (~7 year old models).
I hired a small sedan with roof racks and they upgraded me to a 20007ish Subaru Liberty Wagon (Legacy over there) for ~$305/week. It was double the normal rate because I got the 'No insurance excess' option as well. I think it was originally going to be about $150/week.
Looking at the email now, the daily rate was $19. The car category was economy and it is showing a Nissan Tiida in the picture.
Very happy with the service. They didn't have a desk directly in the airport but they do have a bus that picks you up and takes you to their bigger office which is 2km away. They also drop you off when you need to fly out. Just let them know which flights you're on and they'll monitor the flights to see when you arrive.
Have used Apollo, it was fine. Cars are a bit older, but perfectly fine.
Jucy is great mob. They pack a whole bunch of vouchers/deals with the car as well like 2 for 1 bungy jump, ski passes,etc.
Can get a quote online. I just checked and a Lantra station wagon was $40NZD a day, Toyota people mover was $60NZD day
