I think its a good price for a stainless steel cookware set. Can not comment on quality though.

got these the last time they were available for the same price. Made a steak on high heat and the bottom of the frying pan expanded and bulged so much that it now wont sit straight on the stove.

      how was the steak

For steak, good old carbon steel or cast iron pans are the best. Not even the thickest stainless steel pan could match the thermal response of those two. They're pretty cheap too.

I still don't understand why people post Aldi catalogue items. This isn't Lasoo.com.au. Cheap sh!t frying pans don't justify a bargain

the shoe cabinet sounds like a bargain

Nobody knows a shoe cabinet bargain like Smellysocks

  • The wok I got from aldi is amazing. Well worth the $40. Aldi can be hit and miss

  • i believe you can return within 60days no questions asked?

will probably need to find a cheap angle grinder to clean it after a while, that's the issue i seem to have with the non no stick pans.

  • I kinda hate stainless cookware. They are a pain to clean, even boiling water is difficult!
    They stain and burn…

Use only medium-high heat for stainless steel cookware, and match the flame size to your pan size.

As for cleaning, just dissolve hot water with a bit of bicarb soda, let stand and then scrub clean.

That said, I do agree that stainless steel is not for all types of cooking. For sauces, I find that nothing tops a heavy based, encapsulated, stainless steel saucepan.
